Brian
Whitfield paints in fine oils and acrylics. With a combination of very
fine detail, vivid color and the ever important true light and shadow,
most call his paintings super-realistic. He tries to get the viewer
emotionally involved and transport them into the painting for long
periods of time. Besides the main focal point there are many small
focal points to keep one immersed into the painting.
He has participated in small juried shows in New Jersey, exhibited at the
prestigious Art Loft in New Jersey and the Raeburn House in California. He also had
a very successful art showing at Violet Parkhurst's art gallery in San Pedro, California in May 2007.
Through the years, he has created many private commissions and his
paintings are in collections in New Jersey, North Carolina, Montana,
California and China.
